December's right around the corner

well this morning it isn't as cold, only 20 degrees. but i opened my back door to the view above....and a 6" snowdrift against our door. Looks like another day of wind and snow. I can't wait to get out and snowboard. May not be the greatest weather for walking Alina outside. We finally got our Douglas Fir for Christmas. We decided to not decorate it last night. Doing so today will provide some entertainment for Helen and Alina. The new Imperial Express lift opened yesterday for a lucky few locals. As controversial as the lift is, and as little powder will be left up there, I may enjoy some quick laps on it when I am pressed for time, which will be always now that I'm a new dad. Posted by Picasa

skiing up Sally Barber

After staying up late and waking up to the snow, I decided not to drive down and race at Foothills CX. It may be the end of the season, or maybe not. Next weekend is states at Xilinx. If I can ride the trainer just a little, I may be up for it, as I love the course at Xilinx. It was nice to hang out and do some stuff around the house. After lunch, I took Montana up Sally Barber to Nightmare, then down True Romance. About 6" of new snow made for a great time.

bye bye to Squarespace

this is much easier than what I've been laboring with for over 18mos now. especially the template and code customization. i can't wait to hook up a cool banner. I just need a neat photo (thanks Carl Scofield, for now) and a cool font.

blogger

new software for this stuff. it is free, courtesy of Google. And using Picasa's Hello will make photo management much easier. We'll see if I can customize the look to my liking.

This morning Alina, Helen & I went to Cool River for breakfast. Alina was too tired to misbehave, so we had it easy. Thanksgiving seems to be going well, and we've enjoyed a nice stretch of good weather, although that will change tonight. I am ready to get up skiing again with Montana.
